Thea Rachel Zunick, assistant director for Fraternity and Sorority Life, was recently awarded the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Larry D. Philippi Award for the Fraternity & Sorority Advisor of the year at Elevate, a bi-annual national convention. A group of students who were attending the conference knew about the award for months, but kept it a secret from Zunick. The national organization did the same and used the opportunity for Zunick to present at the conference as a way to get her there without knowing she had won.
The award is given by the Grand Council of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity to a professional in higher education who displays exceptional passion and spirit, makes significant contributions to the fraternity movement and exemplifies the ideals, vision, and purpose of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
