Open Auditions for a Timely Production

The Rutgers-Newark and NJIT Theatre Program invites all students at both schools to open auditions for the 2016 Directors’ Project: Facing Our Truths, a series of short plays about Trayvon Martin, race and privilege.

The production — directed, stage-managed and performed by students — is seeking minority actors for diverse casting. Readings for the auditions will be provided upon arrival.

The auditions will be held Tuesday, November 1, Wednesday, November 2, and Thursday, November 3 from 6-9 p.m. on the Rutgers-Newark campus at the Bradley Hall Theatre, located at the corner of MLK, Jr. Boulevard and Warren Street.

Facing Our Truths will be performed December 7, 8, 9, 10 at 7 p.m. at the Jim Wise Theatre on the NJIT campus.
