Shanthi Gopalakrishnan, PhD, is a professor and associate dean of the School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her research interests focus on innovation management, strategic alliances and knowledge management. She has published more than 50 articles on these topics.  

Gopalakrishnan was recently named a Fellow of the Eastern Academy of Management,  a regional affiliate of the Academy of Management, which is the largest national association of academics in the management discipline. She is a member of the Academy of Management and was the president of the Eastern Academy of Management. She received best research paper awards from the Eastern Academy of Management in 1995, Academy of Management in 1997 and 2009, and from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) publication Transactions in Engineering Management in 2001. She currently serves on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management, Group and Organization Management and on the advisory board of Organization Management Journal.

Gopalakrishnan received her doctorate in organization management from Rutgers University.
