Ronald H Rockland
His career has included work in research, engineering, marketing and sales management for health giants that include Medtronic, Inc., the leading pacemaker company, and Picker International. Locally, he spent three years at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in the pacemaker clinic.
Rockland holds five patents and has published more than 40 journal and conference papers in medical and educational fields. In 2005 Rockland received an award from the New Jersey Association for Biomedical Research. The award is dedicated to improving human and animal health through biomedical research. He has also won a national award in teaching.
Rockland received the NJIT Excellence in Service Award in 2007. The award is presented in recognition of a sustained record of contributions that have enhanced the reputation of NJIT.
He received his bachelor’s and master's degrees in electrical engineering and his doctorate in biomedical engineering from New York University and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
