NJIT Awards 2,643 Degrees to Members of the Class of 2013 at Prudential Center

With woops, cheers and mortarboards flying, NJIT today awarded 2,643 degrees to the members of the class of 2013. This brings the total number of degrees awarded by the university to more than 74,678. The ceremony was held at Newark’s Prudential Center.

Cisco Technology Evangelist To Speak at NJIT's May 20, 2013 Commencement

Technology evangelist and Cisco System Senior Vice President Carlos Dominguez; and alums U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski, PhD, and Edward Cruz, principal of Hop Brook Properties, will receive honorary degrees at the May 20, 2013 NJIT commencement. The event, set for 9 a.m., will be held at Newark's Prudential Center. The university will confer close to 2000 doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees on members of the Class of 2013.

Pawlikowski Addresses ROTC Cadets at NJIT

“It's been an interesting experience and an exciting time,” Colonel Ellen Pawlikowski ‘78 told a group of ROTC cadets on April 8, 2005. Pawlikowski, who was recently confirmed for promotion to brigadier general, shared her experiences as the first woman to be commissioned from NJIT and as director of the Military Satellite Communications Joint Program Office, Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base. "Do the best job you can do," she advised. "If you perform well, you'll be recognized for what you do, not what you are."

NJIT to Honor Colonel Ellen Pawlikowski with Outstanding Alumna Award

Colonel Ellen Pawlikowski, a U.S. Air Force communications expert, will receive an Outstanding Alumna Award from Newark College of Engineering (NCE) at NJIT during the college’s annual NCE Awards Banquet, scheduled for April 8, 2005, at the Newark Airport Marriott Hotel. Pawlikowski, who was recently confirmed for promotion to brigadier general, is the director of the Military Satellite Communications Joint Program Office, Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif.
