Funded by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the program prepares unemployed or underemployed young adults for careers as technicians in a diverse educational environment that touches on all aspects of environmental remediation. The health and safety component of the curriculum will be taught at NJIT through the New Jersey Youth Corps of Phillipsburg in keeping with the university's ongoing mission to foster economic development at all levels throughout the state.
