FEMME Program at NJIT Helps Girls Overcome Gender Gap in Math and Science http://www.njit.edu/news/2005/2005-277.php http://www.njit.edu/news/2005/2005-277.phpTue, 19 Jul 2005 00:00:00 -0400 More than 150 girls--fourth through eighth-graders--are launching rockets, designing rollercoasters and analyzing chocolate as part of NJIT's FEMME program, which offers six summer workshops in the fundamentals of aeronautical, biomedical and mechanical engineering. The FEMME program is designed to help girls overcome the gender gap in math, science and engineering.
