Physics Graduate Student Awarded First Prize for Outstanding Talk

Corina Bot, a PhD student in the department of physics, received first prize for the most outstanding graduate student talk at the Rutgers-UMDNJ-NJIT Integrative Neuroscience Minisymposium on Oct. 12. The minisymposium offers a formal setting for graduate students and post-doctorate fellows to present their research prior to the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting.

Town Hall Meeting on New Jersey’s Water Infrastructure Tomorrow at NJIT

NJIT will host tomorrow morning the first of three statewide meetings to discuss the state of New Jersey’s infrastructures. According to the New Jersey American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2007 Report Card for the State’s Infrastructure and the recent national ASCE 2009 Report Card, New Jersey’s infrastructure systems are in critical need of repairs.

Sanchoy Das, PhD, professor and associate chair for graduate programs in the department of industrial and manufacturing engineering at NJIT, will discuss “Quality and Design Intelligence from Consumer-Generated Web Reviews” on Feb. 15 at the American Society for Quality Control Princeton section meeting.
