NJIT Women's Soccer Team Blanks Longwood on Senior Day

The NJIT women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Day with a 2-0 win over visiting Howard Sunday afternoon in Great West Conference action at J. Malcolm Simon Stadium at Lubetkin Field. The Highlanders recognized senior Briana Morales in pre-game ceremonies. With 58 career games played, Briana is among the program's all-time leaders.

Six students at NJIT were cited for doing superior research projects that could one day lead to new technologies in fields such as biomedical engineering and cancer research. The students were honored during the Provost’s Student Research Showcase, held April 12 at NJIT. >>
Students at NJIT work side by side with professors on the university’s most prominent research projects—projects that could lead to new technologies in fields such as biomedical engineering and cancer research. During the Provost’s Student Research Showcase on April 12, top students will illustrate that research with poster presentations, which will run from 1:15-3:45 p.m. in the Campus Center Atrium. Gene Expression Microarray Technology Advance Gets NSF Grant

To help detect and study genetic changes in cells more quickly and efficiently, NJIT's Timothy Chang, PhD, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, was recently awarded a three-year, $640,000 National Science Foundation grant. Chang, working with Patricia Soteropoulos, PhD, Director of the Public Health Research Institute's Center for Applied Genomics, has developed a robotic technique for getting genetic material onto slides precisely, quickly, and cheaply.
