Carillon and Bell Tower Dedicated in Ceremony Today

More than 100 members of the NJIT community, alumni and friends gathered on the plaza this morning to witness the official dedication of the new carillon and bell tower that was donated by Dee and Gail Clarke ’44. In his remarks, Clarke said that the carillon was “a fitting way” to honor NJIT’s presidents—past, present and future. “We see all of NJIT’s disciplines reflected in the tower, including the arts,” he said. “We hope that the chimes will become a welcome part of campus life at NJIT.”

Watchung Couple Give the Gift of Music to New Jersey Institute of Technology

Dee and Gail Clarke, of Watchung, have given the gift of music to New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). The Clarkes, long-time supporters of the university, have donated a carillon and a supporting bell tower to NJIT. The bells of the carillon now sound from a site near NJIT’s new Campus Center.
