NJIT will hold its annual black-tie benefit dinner Celebration, on Nov. 14, 2008, at Pleasantdale Chateau, West Orange. Former New Jersey Governor and President of the New Jersey State Senate, the Hon. Richard J. Codey, will serve as the special guest master of ceremonies. The next step in the evolution of NJIT athletics begins on Sunday, Sept. 2, when soccer takes the field as the school's first women's sport to achieve full NCAA Division I status. NJIT women's soccer received formal certification for Division I championship eligibility earlier this summer. >>
Joel S. Bloom, EdD, vice president of academic and student services and dean of the Albert Dorman Honors College at NJIT has been named an Educational Opportunity Fund Champion for 2007. NJIT has been selected to compete in and host the entire six-team 2005 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Soccer Championship, starting with two quarterfinal games on Nov. 9 at 5 p.m and 7 p.m. >>
