The honorees were: Joe Ju (men’s cross country); Cara Constantino, Iulia Doci, Daisy Gallegos, Kelsey Johnson (women’s cross country); Christi Taylor (women’s soccer); Sabrina Baby, Katrina Hornstein and Erica Schultz (women’s volleyball).

The NJIT women's cross country team took the team championship of its own Highlander Invitational on Sunday in Branch Brook Park. Liz Mayo was the top individual finisher for NJIT, placing seventh and covering the 5-kilometer course in a school-record 21:08. >>
NJIT Senior Earns Second Academic Athlete Award

NJIT senior Elizabeth Mayo has been named a USTCA-NCAA Division II All-Academic Athlete by the United States Cross-Country Coaches Association. Additionally, her NJIT women's cross-country team received that body's All-Academic Team designation.

Cross-Country Team Volunteers to Benefit St. Mary Hospital
October 20, 2004
The NJIT cross-country team, joined by members of the track and field club team, volunteered at the Healthy Neighbors 5K Run on October 9 in Hoboken. Proceeds from the run will help to build a new emergency room at St. Mary Hospital. Running greats Grete Waitz and Marcus O’Sullivan, both supporters of the event, posed with the team for a group photo.
