Mariana Cassimiro, Fatima Elgammal, Brian Emmanuel, Michael Lam, Nan Maung, Matthew Peragine, and Alex Virodov, all NJIT mathematical sciences majors, were recognized for their poster presentations at the Garden State Undergraduate Mathematics Conference on April 12. The students, divided in three groups, were awarded three out of the first four places (including first) among all presenting four-year colleges.
