Papageorgiou Elected Fellow of Mathematics Institute
Demetrios Papageorgiou, director of graduate programs in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, has been elected a fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. He has also been awarded the Chartered Mathematician designation by the Institute.
Goodman Receives NSF Grant
Roy Goodman, assistant professor of mathematical sciences, will use an $85,000 NSF grant to advance investigation of mathematical methods for nonlinear wave applications.
