Director of University Audits Alice Blount-Fenney (far right), of Edison, served as chair of the 2010 Audit Directors Annual Round Table this spring at NJIT. The event was attended by audit directors from various colleges and universities in New Jersey and New York including Rutgers, Stevens Institute, UMDNJ, New York University, and Columbia University, as well as healthcare facilities. >>

NJIT senior Sabrina Baby was named to the ESPN Magazine's Academic All-America third-team for volleyball, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. She is NJIT's first Highlander student-athlete in any sport to receive Academic All-America laurels at the Division I level. >>

The Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Arts Program will present The Directors' Project 2008, five student-directed short plays, on Dec. 3-6 at 7 p.m. at the Jim Wise Theatre in Kupfrian Hall on the NJIT campus. The 2006-2007 President's Annual Report, published by NJIT's Office of University Communications, has won platinum awards in the categories of overall annual report and front cover design from the MarCom Creative Awards international competition. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the MarCom awards are the latest for the report, which has also received the Grand Award in the 20th Annual Apex Awards for Publication Excellence Competition, the Gold Award from the Art Director's Club of New Jersey and the 2007 New Jersey (IABC) IRIS Award in the Publications category. >>

NJIT Development Director Honored by North Essex Chamber of Commerce   Billy McDermott, director of development for NJIT's School of Management, received the President's Award at the North Essex Chamber of Commerce Leadership Recognition Banquet on May 16, 2007. Three Highlanders Receive Independent Baseball Academic Honors NJIT baseball athletes Austin DeRogatis, Rob Pietrocola and PJ Saporito were named to the NCAA Division I Independent All-Academic team for 2007. The NCAA Division I Academic All-Independent team was selected by sports information directors at member institutions. Nominations from each school were accepted for student-athletes who had a least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, had reached at least a sophomore academic standing and were a starter or key reserve for their respective program. >>
