Ellen Pawlikowski, PhD, and Edward Cruz, principal of Hop Brook Properties, will receive honorary degrees at the May 20, 2013 NJIT commencement. The event, set for 9 a.m., will be held at Newark's Prudential Center. The university will confer close to 2000 doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees on members of the Class of 2013. >>
Pawlikowski Addresses ROTC Cadets at NJIT

“It's been an interesting experience and an exciting time,” Colonel Ellen Pawlikowski ‘78 told a group of ROTC cadets on April 8, 2005. Pawlikowski, who was recently confirmed for promotion to brigadier general, shared her experiences as the first woman to be commissioned from NJIT and as director of the Military Satellite Communications Joint Program Office, Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base. "Do the best job you can do," she advised. "If you perform well, you'll be recognized for what you do, not what you are." >>
