NJIT To Host Spring Career Fair on March 6

NJIT’s annual spring Career Fair, sponsored by NJIT’s Career Development Services (CDS), will be held March 6, 2013 from 12:30 -5 p.m. throughout the campus. It is expected to be the largest ever, with more than 175 companies and government agencies coming to interview upwards of 2,000 students and alumni. >>
More than 2,000 NJIT students and graduates dressed in their finest business attire will wait patiently and professionally on long but potentially profitable lines at NJIT’s Annual Fall Career Fair next Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center and the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility on the NJIT Campus.

NJIT Mathematicians Named First Fellows of Math Society

Two professors of mathematics at NJIT will number among the first Fellows named by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). Gregory Kriegsmann, PhD, noted for his research in applied mathematics, asymptotic methods and more, will receive the honor. So, too, will Robert M. Miura, PhD, who develops mathematical models in neuroscience. The ceremony will take place this coming July in Denver.

NJIT's Division of Career Development Services partnered with Gateway Northwest Maternal and Child Health Network recently to present the first Greater Newark Skill Building Summit for Health Leadership at NJIT. Gregory Mass, executive director, Division of Career Development Services, provided the welcoming address. The Summit convened 65 key public health stakeholders within Greater Newark dedicated to improving immunization rates and other health outcomes within their communities. The purpose of the Summit was to give participants the opportunity to learn new methods for improving their agency management skills. >>
