Two new patents to improve orthogonal space time codes and decode data transmissions of space time spreading were recently awarded to NJIT Distinguished Professor Yeheskel Bar-Ness, executive director of the Elisha Yegal Bar-Ness Center for Wireless Communications and Signal Processing Research. Yesheskel Bar-Ness, distinguished professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering, and Pan Liu, alumni, received US Patent 8,023,583 on Sept. 20, 2011 for "Method and /or System for Estimating Phase Noise Error."

Kodzovi Acolatse, a PhD student in the department of electrical and computer engineering, discussed "SCFDE Space Time Spreading (STS) Schemes in Multi-User DS-CSMA Wireless Communication” today at NJIT. Acolatse was one of eight doctoral students who presented their research at the annual Center for Wireless Communication and Signal Processing Research Day.
