Four Highlanders posted double-figure totals as they went on to a 67-61 road win over Texas-Pan American Wednesday night in women's basketball action. The win for NJIT was its third of the season and first road victory under new head coach Margaret McKeon.  
Girls in grades 3-8 will have the opportunity to practice their basketball shooting techniques at a clinic sponsored by the NJIT Women’s Basketball Program on Jan. 21, 9 a.m.-12 noon in the Fleisher Athletic Center. Sophomores Taiwo Oyelola and Katie Piekielski shared game-high honors with 14 points, while freshman Adriana Johnson recorded a career-high 11 points in the Highlanders' 58-44 victory over defending AEC champion UMBC Wednesday night. The win marks the first NJIT victory for new head coach Margaret McKeon and the first for the Highlanders this year.
Margaret McKeon was recently named the new head coach of the NJIT women's basketball program. McKeon, whose track record includes five NCAA Division I postseason tournament appearances, will take over a program that completed its first season of Division I competition in March 2007.
