Akansu, PhD, professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering, published a paper with his PhD student Mustafa Torun and Marco Avellaneda of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU entitled "Portfolio Risk in Multiple Frequencies" in the Sept. 2011 issue of IEEE Signal Processing magazine.
