NJIT will host an open house for high school students and their parents on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

For an up-close look at life at NJIT, make time this fall and winter to attend an upcoming open house. The take-away will be more than a campus tour and meeting with an admissions counselor. You’ll learn about NJIT’s graduate and undergraduate programs in high-growth in-demand fields and meet one on one with faculty and admissions representatives.

David Reibstein, PhD, associate dean and Lois Hulin, assistant dean for recruitment at NJIT’s Albert Dorman Honors College, addressed questions from students today at the Honors Open House. Sponsored by NJIT’s Department of Residence Life, the open house presented new developments in the Honors Living/Learning Communities, located on the fifth and sixth floors of Redwood Hall.

If you’re considering going to graduate school, it’s not too late to apply for the fall semester at NJIT. An open house is scheduled for Aug. 24, 5-7:30 p.m., first floor Fenster Hall on the NJIT campus. NJIT currently offers degree programs in more than 40 disciplines for master's candidates, 20 disciplines for doctoral candidates and dozens of specialties for graduate certificate programs.

Prospective graduate students will have the opportunity to meet faculty and learn more about academic degrees, certificates, online learning and more at NJIT's Graduate Study Open House on March 25, 9 a.m.-12 noon, in the Campus Center Atrium.

There'll be no candy corn or bobbing for apples, but high school students and their families will be able to fill their treat bags with plenty of valuable information on admissions procedures, financial aid and scholarships, and career options at NJIT's Fall Open House on Oct. 31 beginning at 11 a.m.  Campus tours, laboratory demonstrations, and workshops will be offered as well as special sessions for transfer students and Spanish-speaking families.
