New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) President Joel S. Bloom has announced the naming of Professor Fadi P. Deek of East Brunswick, NJ, as the next provost and senior executive vice president at NJIT.  The appointment of Professor Deek, who has been serving as interim provost, will take place immediately. >>
The NJIT Faculty Council Standing Committee on Research will host a Pre-award and Grantsmanship Seminar on Jan. 30, from 11:30 am - 2:30 p.m. in Eberhardt Hall (Room 112).  The Office of Provost and Office of Research and Development are sponsors.  >>

In 2012, NJIT launched the Project Based Learning (PBL) course.  Come see this year's projects at the PBL Showcase which features real world projects carried out by NJIT sophomore students from multiple colleges, including social entrepreneurship projects started by students.  >>
Raymond B. Landis, Dean Emeritus of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology at California State University will present a workshop on Aug. 28, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Eberhardt Hall 115.  >>
Undergraduate students from the NJIT Ronald E. McNair Program, Provost Research Program, Biomedical Engineering REU Program, Heritage Institute of Technology, BRCM College of Engineering and Technology (BRCM CET), SKP Engineering College (SKPEC), SRM University, (MSIT) Programs from India and graduate students from the NJIT/Beijing, China Engineering Management (MSEM) Program will present their summer research projects undertaken under the guidance of NJIT faculty.  >>

NJIT undergraduate students interested in a summer research opportunity are encouraged to apply for a limited number of summer research awards. Any current NJIT student who will be an undergraduate in the fall semester 2012 may apply. The program runs from May 21 to July 27, 2012. >>
