NJIT University Convocation Marks the Start of the School Year and Honors Teachers, Students and Staff

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) holds University Convocation tomorrow, an annual celebration and awards ceremony that marks the start of the academic year and recognizes the accomplishments of students, faculty and staff members. The convocation ceremony takes place in the Jim Wise Theater in NJIT’s Kupfrian Hall beginning at 2:30 p.m. There will be a reception for honorees in the hall’s foyer after the event.

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has promoted one faculty member to the rank of distinguished professor, five to the rank of professor, and another five to the rank of associate professor with tenure. Three faculty members have also received tenure without a change in their titles.
