Red Rover, a new play by Michèle Raper Rittenhouse, managing director of the Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Arts Program, will be read at a benefit for the Abingdon Theatre Company in New York City on March 15 at 6 p.m. Rittenhouse is a member of their playwrights group to develop new work for the theatre. 
2008
The Rutgers/NJIT Theatre Arts Program will present its fall play, Hot L Baltimore, directed by Dan Drew on October 22, 23, 24, 25 at 7 p.m. and on October 26 at 2:30 p.m. in the Bradley Hall Theatre, Rutgers-Newark Campus.
2007
The Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Arts Program will present three student-directed plays at The Directors’ Project 2007 on Nov. 28, 29, 30 and Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in NJIT’s Jim Wise Theatre, Kupfrian Hall. Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens; $7 general admission.
Time Without Number, a multimedia performance piece created by Rutgers-Newark/NJIT students based on research, interviews and ethnographies they conducted on the effects of immigrant detention in the U.S., will be presented by the Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Arts Program on April 18, 19, 20, 21 at 7 p.m. and on April 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the Bradley Hall Theatre at Rutgers-Newark.

The Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Arts Program will present The Directors' Project 2006, student-directed and designed short plays, on Dec. 6-9 at 7 p.m. in the Bradley Hall Theatre at Rutgers University-Newark. Tickets are $5 for students; $7 for the general public. For reservations, call 973-353-5119 x17.
A staged reading of a play by Michele Rittenhouse, managing director of the Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Arts Program, will be held on Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, NYC. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are strongly encouraged by calling Smarttix at 212-868–4444.
