The NJIT School of Management's Innovation Acceleration Team, founded by Louis Noto '10, is working with the junior class at Technology High School in Newark to obtain Pepsi Refresh project funding for building a green roof on top of their school. Humberto “Humby” Baquerizo '95, of North Bergen, assistant director of the Campus Center overseeing the Office of Conference Services and Programs, gave special remarks at the Technology High School 2010 Commencement Exercises on June 25. Baquerizo joined Senator Teresa Ruiz, NJ Legislator of the 29th Legislative District in congratulating the Technology High School students. “The world you are about to enter is constantly changing and diverse," Baquerizo told the Class of 2010. "We don't have to see the world to understand that it is unbalanced. We can't change the world without changing one community at a time. I challenge you to go out and change the communities around you, be of service, help your fellow brothers and sisters, come back and be a role model to Newark youth. Doing the public good is your job and duty as citizens of this great city of Newark.” >>
