Nancy Lee Jackson, an associate professor of geography at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), has been awarded the Turin Chair as part of the Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program. Jackson will conduct research on coastal and ecosystem management and lecture on International Environmental Policy at the Polytechnic Institute of Turin, Italy during the 2004-2005 academic year, according to the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Awards in the Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program are viewed as among the most prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program.
