Vincent Lombardo, of Bayonne, has been named a new development director in the NJIT Office for University Advancement.

NJIT has named Monique Pryor, of West Orange, assistant vice president of planned giving. Pryor has been a development professional for seven years and has been licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey for more than 14 years.

NJIT Wins CASE Educational Fundraising Award

New Jersey Institute of Technology has been selected as a winner of the 2009 WealthEngine Award for Educational Fundraising from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). This award honors superior fundraising programs across the country and is a component of CASE’s Circle of Excellence program. NJIT will receive an Overall Improvement Award based on the judges’ analysis of three years of fundraising data submitted to the council’s annual survey. “This is a result of a total University Advancement effort and the significant support and involvement of President Robert A. Altenkirch and the academic deans,” said NJIT Vice President for University Advancement Charles R. Dees, Jr., PhD.

NJIT Development Director Honored by North Essex Chamber of Commerce Billy McDermott, director of development for NJIT’s School of Management, received the President's Award at the North Essex Chamber of Commerce Leadership Recognition Banquet on May 16, 2007.Three Highlanders Receive Independent Baseball Academic HonorsNJIT baseball athletes Austin DeRogatis, Rob Pietrocola and PJ Saporito were named to the NCAA Division I Independent All-Academic team for 2007. The NCAA Division I Academic All-Independent team was selected by sports information directors at member institutions. Nominations from each school were accepted for student-athletes who had a least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, had reached at least a sophomore academic standing and were a starter or key reserve for their respective program. >>

Khatmeh Osseiran-Hanna, of Cliffside Park, was promoted to assistant vice president of planned giving in the Office of University Advancement at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).Osseiran-Hanna has 20 years of progressive experience in development and fundraising. For more than four years at NJIT, Osseiran-Hanna has served as director of development in a multitude of areas including the College of Science and Liberal Arts, the School of Management, Leadership Circle, the Otto York Center for Environmental Engineering and Science, athletics, and planned giving. >>
New Staff Join Office of University Advancement

Scheryl Davis has assumed the role of Director of Special Events, effective June 14, 2004. She brings 19 years of broad-based professional experience in event planning, customer care/telemarketing management, corporate sales, marketing communications, fulfillment operations and advertising. Her most recent position was as District Manager of Fulfillment Operations at AT&T. Scheryl attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, majoring in Journalism and Communication. In addition, she holds numerous certifications including a Mini-MBA in Organizational Behavior, Project Management and Six Sigma Certification. Scheryl is also a licensed Notary Public in the state of New Jersey and a member of the National Notary Association.
Christina Crovetto joined the Office of University Communications on May 17, 2004 as a Senior Project Manager/Editor. In addition to other duties, she serves as editor of the on-line Newsroom. She has more than 18 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate communications, public relations and graphic design in a variety of fields, including social services, health care, environmental engineering and finance. Her most recent position was Director of Communications for Catholic Community Services, the social services agency for the Archdiocese of Newark. Christina received her master of science in Professional and Technical Communication from NJIT in May 2003 and her bachelor of arts in Journalism and Mass Media from Douglass College. She is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society at NJIT and serves as newsletter editor of the NJIT chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.
