To provide a wider window into the wireless world, NJIT  along with the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) will offer on Oct. 31, 2008, from 8 a.m. -1:30 p.m., “The Wireless World: Untethered Opportunities.”  Keynote speaker will be former Congressional representative, Steve Largent, of CTIA—The Wireless Association.  Corporate sponsors include AT&T, Verizon, Qualcomm, and T-Mobile. >>

NJIT has designed an undergraduate certificate program in information technology for Verizon Wireless employees – a program that will not only keep employees abreast of the latest technological advances but allow them to take classes right in their offices.    >>

Veronica Pellizzi, a Verizon vice president, received a Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award during the annual Fall Awards ceremony held on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Pellizzi graduated from NJIT in 1984 with a B.S. in chemical engineering. >>
