"How did cancer cross the color line?" asked Keith Wailoo, PhD, professor of history at Rutgers University, at an Honors Colloquium on April 25, 2005 at NJIT. Co-sponsored by the NJIT/Rutgers Federated Department of History and the Rutgers/NJIT History Club, Wailoo's lecture explored the relationship of disease and the biomedical sciences in 20th-century American culture to questions of race, health politics, and group identity. Women's Tennis Team Nearly Sweeps Pace in 8-1 Win

The NJIT women's tennis team, ranked ninth regionally, earned an 8-1 victory over visiting Pace University on Saturday night at the Tenafly Racquet Club. The top five singles players for NJIT (6-2) were all double winners: Fatima Kasem, Chiori Koike, Deepti Sanjai, Rebecca Solorzano and Grace Bogdan. >>
