NJ Governor Jon S. Corzine delivered the keynote speech today at the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey's 17th Annual Convention Expo & Career Fair at NJIT. The governor lauded NJIT's role in contributing to the state's economic development through its business incubator and other programs. Henry Ross, NJIT Chief of Staff, provided welcoming remarks. “Like the statewide Hispanic Chamber, NJIT is an institution where the rubber hits the road when it comes to economic development,” Ross said. “We're an institution committed to practical results—and to real-world business models.”   >>
Some 1200 students at NJIT will spend their lunch hour tomorrow patiently waiting in a line long enough to wrap around a block-long building in the hope of securing a high-paying job. The plan will be to secure an interview with one of the 130 name-brand companies at NJIT's annual spring career fair. >>
More than 300 people and 30 companies are expected to attend the Fourth Annual Biomedical Engineering Showcase and Career Fair on March 9 at NJIT. The event, to be held from 7:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. in NJIT's Campus Center, unites industry professionals and academics interested in the applied-life sciences. >>
