NJIT's Educational Opportunity Program Executive Director Tony Howell and Assistant Director for Recruitment and Admissions Carlomagno Ontaneda presented certificates yesterday to some 250 students who participated in the Summer Academic Enrichment Program at NJIT. The students, all of whom will now be formally admitted into NJIT’s incoming freshman class, spent six weeks living in residence halls and attending classes in math and science.   >>
EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) Boot Camp will hold the closing ceremony for its summer academic enrichment program. Some 150 students spent the past five weeks in this academic "boot camp,” living on campus and attending a grueling schedule of classes from Monday to Thursday before heading home for the weekend. >>
NJIT's Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) will host a closing ceremony for the annual Summer Academic Enrichment Program on August 6, 12 noon-2 p.m. in the Jim Wise Theater. Some 250 students spent five weeks in the academic "boot camp," living on campus and attending a grueling schedule of classes from Monday to Thursday before heading home for the weekend. The program helps incoming students, most of who are minorities, make a smooth transition from high school to college. >>
