More Awards for President's Annual Report

The 2006-2007 President’s Annual Report, published by NJIT's Office of University Communications, has won platinum awards in the categories of overall annual report and front cover design from the MarCom Creative Awards international competition. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the MarCom awards are the latest for the report, which has also received the Grand Award in the 20th Annual Apex Awards for Publication Excellence Competition, the Gold Award from the Art Director’s Club of New Jersey and the 2007 New Jersey (IABC) IRIS Award in the Publications category. >>
Iowa Corn Promotion Board, NJIT to License Breakthrough, Safe Bio-Plastic Alternative

The Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB), NJIT and University of Sao Paulo today announced a joint agreement for licensing four pending patents on a safe, building block chemical derived from corn known as isosorbide to chemists. The agreement marks a step forward in developing applications and markets for corn-based chemistry.

High school students enrolled in NJIT's Real World Connections Summer Internship Program will be recognized for their achievements at an awards ceremony on August 7, 12:30-4 p.m. at the Enterprise Development Center 3, 211 Warren Street, Conference Room 407. Through the Capstone Open University Connections Program, students work in small project teams to solve real-world problems based on scenarios drawn from actual industry cases in a broad array of fields, including health, communications, sports, and entertainment. >>
The 2006-2007 President's Annual Report, published by the Office of University Communications, won a Grand Award in the 20th Annual Apex Awards for Publication Excellence Competition. A group of high school students who participated in the Capstone Real World Open University Connections program at NJIT presented their multi-year Global Microscope project accomplishments to NASA headquarters yesterday in Washington, DC. Through the CCS Capstone Open University Connections Program, middle-school and high school students work in small teams to solve real-world problems based on scenarios drawn from actual industry cases in a variety of fields, including health, education, sports and entertainment. >>
