"Internet 2.0: Hype or Hope?" is the topic of the IEEE COMSOC Distinguished Lecture by Henning Schulzrinne, PhD, the Levi Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University, on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. (refreshments start at 5:45 pm.) in 202 ECEC. Nirwan Ansari, of Montville, a professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering at NJIT, has received two notable honors. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has named him a Fellow for his contributions to broadband networks and communications. Ansari also received an award from the IEEE member and geographic activities board.
