Donald H. Sebastian, provost (interim) and senior vice president for research and development at NJIT, will participate in a panel discussion at the “Best and Brightest” Forum on Medical Innovation today at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. Other panelists include Dick Gephardt, chairman of the Council for American Medical Innovation and former Missouri representative and House Majority Leader, and Bob Franks, president of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey and former New Jersey representative. Sebastian will be speaking on related topics at the New Jersey Technology Council Regional Commercialization Conference on Dec. 10  in Wilmington, Del.  >>
Two NJIT faculty members will receive Innovators' Awards and two recent alumni will be honored at the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame dinner on Oct. 22, 2009 at Stevens Institute of Technology.  >>
NJIT's 2009 Commencement Ceremony will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Prudential Center, Newark from 9 a.m.-noon. During the ceremony, more than 2,000 honorary doctoral degrees and earned doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees will be conferred on the Class of 2009. >>

Previously known as the Provost's Student Research Showcase, the event was renamed this year to honor the legacy of the late Dana E. Knox, PhD, professor of chemical engineering and associate provost at NJIT. >>
