NJIT newcomers Camille Billing and Amanda Redden collected their first college goals, lifting the Highlanders to their first women’s soccer victory of 2010, a 2-1 win at Saint Peter’s Sunday afternoon. The Highlanders (1-1) also got the first college assist from freshman Rebecca Tustin, who helped out on Billing’s goal, in taking the road win. >>
NJIT placed 29 student-athletes in six sports on the 2009-10 Winter/Spring Great West Conference All-Academic team. Selection to the team requires that student-athletes achieve a minimum cumulative 3.2 grade-point average and also must have participated in at least 50 percent of their respective teams’ contests. >>

Junior guard Jheryl Wilson led the way with a game-high 23 points for NJIT in a program Division I record-setting 66-37 men’s basketball win over visiting Chicago State Saturday afternoon in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center. Saturday’s win for the Highlanders raises their Great West Conference record to 1-2 and the game against Chicago State was the first at home for NJIT in its new conference. >>
