Geared to busy adults, the open house will feature and demonstrate specially selected NJIT academic and training programs structured for weekend learning and/or online learning. Free college courses ranging in content from English literature to quantum physics are now available on-line through a consortium started by MIT several years ago known as The Open Courseware Consortium. NJIT has recently been named a member of what has become a worldwide organization. >>

Last summer NJIT launched an affordable graduate online tuition rate for out-of-state students. “The new online tuition makes it possible for students anywhere in or outside the US to study full or part-time at NJIT,” said Gale Tenen Spak, associate vice president of the Division of Continuing Professional Education. Spak manages the program. “This is a good opportunity to access programs which offer the right courses for the right jobs and which are taught at a nationally-ranked science and technology university.” >>
