A Tradition of Giving: Typhoon Haiyan Relief Update and Noble November

NJIT's student organizations have rallied once again for their annual Noble November activities to raise awareness of those in need. Members of the Filipino Student Association, many of whom have families in the Philippines that have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan, have collected almost $1,000 for UNICEF.

Winners of the 2013 Highlander Student Achievement Awards were recently announced at the annual ceremony which recognizes student leaders and organizations for their talent and work to enhance the NJIT student experience.

NJIT senior right-hander Mark Leiter, Jr. struck out 20 Chicago State batters in a nine-inning 5-3 win for the Highlanders Friday night. Leiter's 20 strikeouts were the most nationally in a 2013 NCAA Division I game and the most in NJIT program history.

NJIT Wins Great West Conference

The NJIT men's basketball team led by head coach Jim Engles won the Great West Conference Championship on Saturday by coming back from a 17 point deficit against Houston Baptist. Congratulations to NJIT athletics, men's basketball, its coaches and players.
