“I don't like the way Memorial Day is celebrated,” said NJIT graduate student Omar Gomez, who served in the Army for five years and in Afghanistan for 15 months. “It's too serious, too gray. My friend Donald T. Tabb who was killed was a funny guy—I want him to stand tall with his jokes. Nobody died so you could be boring.”

The New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA-NJ) is pleased to announce the Payette Sho-Ping Chin Memorial Academic Scholarship, a $10,000 scholarship that will be awarded to a female student who has completed at least two years of undergraduate architectural studies.
