ID Cards

NJIT Photo ID cards are issued to students, faculty and staff member and are available at the Security, ID and Parking Systems Department. ID cards should be carried at all times while on campus for identification purposes, and must be presented to NJIT Public Safety Officers upon request. Sharing your NJIT Photo ID card, for any purpose, is strictly prohibited. Violators will have their ID card confiscated and referred to the Dean of Student's Office for disciplinary action.

Your NJIT ID card may be used for NJIT on-campus parking, the cafeteria meal plan, library privileges, after hours building access and residence hall access. You may use your NJIT ID card to access parking lot gates by purchasing a parking permit and registering your vehicles via the NJIT web-site at www.njit.edu/parking . Your NJIT ID card can be programmed by the Food Services Department for use of the cafeteria meal plan as needed. For access to library privileges, students should visit the circulation desk in the Van Houten Library located at 200 Central Avenue . For after-hours building access, you must contact your department chairperson for authorization and processing. Your NJIT ID card will access the residence halls once your name has been submitted to us from your residence hall supervisor. Hours of operation for the Security Systems and Parking Services Department vary each semester and will be posted in the New Campus Center , Registrars Office and the Department of Public Safety.

If your NJIT Card becomes lost or is stolen, please report the incident to the Photo ID office immediately. The ID card replacement fee of $25 must be paid at the NJIT Bursar's Office (located on the 1 st level of the parking garage). The Bursar will then issue a receipt of payment, which must be presented to the Photo ID office before a replacement ID card can be printed. If you have any questions, please call the office at 973-642-7190 or visit us on the web at www.njit.edu/parking.
