2. Academic Investment: Education and Research Infrastructure

2.1 Faculty Renewal: To hire, develop, and retain faculty excellence in strategic education and research areas.

2.2 Educational Support: To develop a model that provides necessary educational support to deliver instruction.

2.3 Research Support: To develop a model that provides support for current and future research in both STEM and non-STEM areas.

2.4 Education, Research, and Community Infrastructure: To maintain, renovate, and upgrade laboratory, classroom facilities, and other community spaces.

2.1 Analysis of faculty productivity in strategic research areas to achieve national excellence.

2.2 Gap analysis between the desired financial model and present funding through student fees, tuition, year-end budget balances, and other revenue sources.

2.3. Analysis of research costs and benefits in both STEM and non-STEM areas.

2.4 Develop a space coordination plan that is supported from the operating and capital budgets.

2.5 To support academic investment, develop a financial model that becomes an integral component of a fiscally responsible financial planning model for the university.

Report Card: Each spring, gap analysis reports will be used to allocate resources to faculty, laboratory, classroom facilities, and other community spaces.

Creation of a long-term, sustainable, multi-year economic campus plan, with accompanying year-by-year growth and adjustment decisions for faculty, laboratory, classroom, and community facilities.
