The Provost Search Committee has completed the first major phase of the candidate selection process. During the past three Tuesdays (October 13, 20 and 27) the committee conducted airport interviews of 11 candidates (selected from a list of 64 applications received). After deliberations, the committee has invited six finalists for on-campus interviews. Unfortunately, one of them withdrew on Tuesday, 11/27 to accept a position at the presidential level.
The committee is pleased to announce the names of the five remaining candidates reflected below, including their recent positions and affiliations. The interview dates were selected to take full advantage of the common hours on Mondays or Wednesdays, during which times the candidates will address NJIT faculty, staff and students. UPDATE: It was determined that Room 112 Eberhardt Hall will not be large enough to handle the expected audience for the candidate presentation scheduled for Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Therefore, there is a change in the room for this and other candidate presentations to follow during the next 3 weeks. The locations are noted below:
Everyone is invited to the open forum sessions to hear the candidates discuss their research and vision for NJIT.
Hard copies of the detailed CVs can be reviewed in any of the Deans- offices, at the NJIT Library (reference desk) and at NJIT's President-s Office. You may also ask any of the search committee members to review copies.
Each candidate will arrive for a campus tour the day before (on Tuesday or Sunday afternoon) to be followed by a full day interview (on Wednesday or Monday). The detailed interview schedule will be posted on the Bulletin Board and the Provost Search corner on the NJIT website. The committee is looking forward to your participation and feedback on the candidates.
Thank you.
