Janice Daniel, PhD, joined New Jersey Institute of Technology as an assistant professor in the department of civil and environmental engineering in 1999 after having spent four years at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has established a solid research identity in the areas of traffic adaptation control and transportation safety, receiving an impressive $1.6 million in external funding that includes two grants from the National Science Foundation. Daniel's research has proved critical to solving both regional and national transportation problems. She also has been very active in service to her profession, serving on several national committees. She received her PhD from Texas A&M University in 1995. |
