Rajesh N. Dave, PhD, is acting chair and a distinguished professor in the department of chemical engineering and founding director of the New Jersey Center for Engineered Particulates at New Jersey Institute of Technology. His current research interests include particle technology and pattern recognition/cluster analysis/image processing. In 2004 NJIT alumni recognized Dave with the Van Houten Award for Teaching Excellence. He received the NJIT Teaching Excellence Award (Upper Undergraduate Level) in 2003, and the Newark College of Engineering Innovation in Engineering Education Award in 1999. Recent publications include "Non-Intrusive Particle Tracking System for Particulate Flows and Vibrated Granular Beds", Particulate Science and Technology: An International Journal, Vol. 17, Number 1-2 (1999) and "Dry Particle Coating by a Newly Developed Rotating Fluidized Bed Coater," AIChE Symposium Series Volume on Fluidization (1999). Dave received his PhD from Utah State University; his MS from Utah State University; and his BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology. |
