Robert S. Friedman, PhD is an associate professor and associate chair of the department of humanities with a joint appointment in the information technology program at New Jersey Institute of Technology. His current research interests include examining the interplay among American studies and information technologies in order to enhance their value and meaningfulness to social, cultural and historical inquiry. Recent publications include: R. Friedman and J. Friedman received his PhD in American Literature from the City University of New York; an MS in information systems from NJIT; an MFA in fiction from Brooklyn College, City University of New York; and his BA in English from the City University of New York.
