Senior Scientist Allen Hershkowitz Discusses Obstacles To Urban Sustainability

Allen Hershkowitz, PhD	November 10, 2005 “We have to protect our natural capital at least as diligently as our financial capital," Allen Hershkowitz, PhD, told an audience of more than 200 people on Nov. 9 at NJIT. Hershkowitz, a senior scientist with the Natural Resources Defense Council, stressed the importance of advancing sustainable industrial development to meet our needs without compromising resources to ensure that future generations have equal or superior availability of services provided to us by nature.
