Rongfang (Rachel) Liu, PhD, is an associate professor in the department of civil and environmental engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her primary research interests are in the areas of travel demand and supply analysis and transportation system management. Another equally important research interest is in the area of intermodal transportation planning, which focuses on the interaction and coordination of various transportation modes, such as walkways, highways and private cars, bus, rails, and airlines. Her research has explored the use of guided transport systems within the intermodal and multimodal environment. Recent publications include: Liu, Rongfang. Liu received her PhD in civil engineering from the University of South Florida; an MS in urban and regional planning from Florida State University; an MS in environmental engineering from Beijing University; and a BS in geo-environmental science from Beijing University. |
