The New Jersey Presidents’ Council unanimously approved its FY06 budget policy statement for higher education, stressing that increased investment in higher education is critical for the educational opportunity of New Jerseyans and the economic development of the state. “The driving factor behind this very focused request is the essential link between the social and economic well-being of the state and the well-being of the state’s higher education institutions,” said NJIT President Robert A.
