| Prominent Critic To Lecture at NJIT’s New Jersey School of Architecture |

NEWARK, October 19
Robert Campbell, the Pulitzer-Prize winning architecture critic for the Boston Globe, will visit the New Jersey School of Architecture (NJSOA) on Oct. 24 to deliver a lecture titled “A Critic's Obsession.”
The lecture is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Weston Lecture Hall at NJSOA, at the intersection of Warren and Summit streets. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is the fourth in the NJSOA's fall lecture series. For more information or reservations, call 973-596-3080.
Campbell has been architecture critic of The Boston Globe since 1973. He writes criticism, news stories, opinion pieces and feature articles about all aspects of architecture.
Campbell’s work has received a Design Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts (1976), the medal for criticism of the American Institute of Architects (1980) and the Pulitzer Prize for Distinguished Criticism (1996). He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard College, where he majored in English literature. He has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and a master’s degree in architecture from Harvard University, where he was awarded the Appleton Traveling Fellowship and Kelley thesis prize. He helped found, and is now an adviser to, the Mayors Institute for City Design, which brings together mayors, designers and other experts to try to solve city problems. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The NJSOA lecture series is affiliated with the American Institute of Architect’s Continuing Education Series (AIA/CES), and professionals who attend the lecture can report one credit.
