Winter 2017-2018 Academic Calendar

Registration Priority

The Registration period for all students is scheduled according to class year. Class year represents the total credits earned at NJIT including currently enrolled credits (this does not include any Rutgers or ECC courses) in addition to any transfer credit using the formula listed below.



Freshman 0-28 Credits 1st Year Graduate 0-7 Credits
Sophomores 29-56 Credits 2nd Year Graduate 8-15 Credits
Juniors 57-90 Credits 3rd Year Graduate 16-22 Credits
Seniors 91+ Credits 4th Year Graduate 22+ Credits

Calendar:  Winter Session Registration Begins at 9:30 pm on October 29, 2017.  Classes Meet December 22, 2017 - January 12, 2018
     Make-up days for weather cancellation: January 13, 2018

Course Schedule:
Available via Highlander Pipeline for registration
     Course Maximum: One course per student

NJIT Students: Via Highlander Pipeline
      Visiting Students: Call the Admissions Office at 1-800-925-NJIT
      Last day to register is December 22, 2017

Tuition & Fees:

     Tuition and fees may be paid via Highlander Pipeline or in the Bursar’s office no later
     than December 20. Students who register for winter courses must view their bill via Highlander Pipeline.

 Drop Date/Refund Policy:

    All drops must be completed via Highlander Pipeline.

 Financial Aid: Perkins Loan, Pell Grant and/or Work-study may be available to students who qualify. Applications are available in Office of Student Financial Aid Services. The deadline to apply for financial aid for Winter Session is Friday, December 15, 2017.
