Office Hours: Federici: Mon. 11:30-1:00pm or by appointment.
Course Materials: "" by S. Rastegar and G. Cote, Chapter 17 in Introduction to Biomedical Engineering; Instructor handouts distributed via class Web page.
Note: The laboratory manual will be distributed in class or via the World Wide Web. OPSE web address:
physics.njit.edu/~federici , or www.njit.edu/Directory/Centers/OPSEOPSE Lab Open Hours: OPSE lab (642-4956) will be open during Monday 11:30-1pm and Weds. 2:30-4pm or by appointment.
Prerequisites: Phys 121
Assignments: You are responsible for all weekly reading and laboratory assignments listed in this outline. The reading should be completed BEFORE class each week. Laboratory assignments must be turned in BEFORE at the beginning of class each week. All assignments (if you prefer) may be submitted via an attached email to
federici@adm.njit.edu. You may WINZIP the files if necessary. Any files that are infected with a virus will not be accepted.Exams: Midterm and Final Exams will be given. Each exam will consist of homework type problems as well as laboratory practical questions.
Grades: Midterm Exam and Final Exam each count as 3/16 of grade. Laboratory Reports collectively count as 1/2. Homework counts as 1/8 of the final grade. Grades of below 50% will generally considered to be failing.
